The Avondale Meadows Health and Wellness Center project will be the centerpiece of the Community Revitalization plan and will be a Purpose Built Community. Located on approximately 18 acres near 39th Street and Meadows Drive in Indianapolis, this project is a collaboration between the YMCA, HealthNet, United Northeast CDC, and The Meadows Community Foundation toward the creation of a new community amenity. The 69,000 SF design includes pediatric and adult managed care in addition to the YMCA’s wellness, multipurpose, teen and child watch facilities, and an outdoor swimming pool is also in the fundraising stage for the YMCA. Upon completion, this project will apply to become LEED Silver and integrates bio-swales and native vegetation as well as sustainable building systems, materials and process.
