Our integrated approach to urban design results in the design of places where people are free to encounter each other free of restrictions placed on them by other venues. Such places foster favorable attitudes and dispositions that foster cooperation within society and equal the spirit of community. Through the stimulation gained by engaging in varying public activities, and as a result of the constructive interaction between them, urban design and planning addresses both the structural and relational dimensions of social connection as well as the individual’s ability to connect to others and the quality of that connection.
